Let me share the 10 Holy Commandments of Bitcoin, a guide born from my struggles with altcoins, NFTs, and scams. In 2021, the Altcoin Devil tempted me in Brussels with risky investments, and in 2022, the NFT Devil led me to 666 NFT demons costing thousands. As a result, these mistakes revealed one truth: Bitcoin is my salvation.

My Personal Journey

After these experiences, I have refined the 10 Holy Commandments of Bitcoin, as if they were biblical revelations. Moreover, these rules are not mere tips – they are my personal guide to safeguarding my satoshis. Here they are:

1. Thou shalt not reveal thy wallet seed or keys to any man on Earth, nor store it in online networks, nor suffer it to be captured in an image, nor be deceived by the words of false prophets in emails or on websites, for destruction looms.
2. Thou shalt store thy Bitcoin in a Trezor, a holy and safe place, as commanded, and thou shalt safeguard thy seed, best engraved in metal, to endure the trials of fire and water, and the mischief of little ones and beasts.
3. Thou shalt keep only small crumbs in thy mobile and PC, like dust of the ground.
4. After buying on the exchange, thou shalt bring thy Bitcoin to Trezor at once, that it may be thine forever.
5. Thou shalt not sell thy Bitcoin, but wait for a blessed time, as the Lord of Bitcoin hath said.
6. Thou shalt buy thy Bitcoin regularly, whether the price rises in abundance or falls in darkness, and keep a blessed portion ready for the DIP when the price drops, and if it be within thy power, thou shalt mine BTC with thy humble might, thereby contributing to the network, and sell not in despair, for that is His will.
7. Thou shalt turn away from altcoins and NFTs, for they are the devil’s traps, seeking to destroy thy BTC buys.
8. Thou shalt check thy address twice when sending, for demons lurk at every corner.
9. Thou shalt proclaim the glory of Bitcoin among men, yet keep silent about the measure of thy treasures in thy wallet, for thy silence shall be a shield against thieves.
10. And HODL shall be thy steadfast path, not trading, and thou shalt not be swayed nor confounded by the tempests of price, as written in the eternal book.

The Meaning of These Rules

In addition, this tenfold is my personal revelation. It combines my lessons from battling the Altcoin Devil in 2021 and the NFT Devil in 2022 with rules for safely holding Bitcoin. Furthermore, unlike other rule lists, it has a biblical style and reflects my journey. As a result, the warning against phishing (‘false prophets in emails’) comes from my own scam.

Simple Steps for Newcomers

For those new to this path, I have made these Commandments simpler, so everyone can follow the Bitcoin way easily.

1. Do not share your wallet seed or keys with anyone. Do not store them online or let them be photographed. Do not trust fake emails or websites, because it is dangerous.
2. Keep your Bitcoin in a Trezor, a safe place. Save your seed in metal to protect it from fire, water, children, and pets.
3. Keep only small amounts in your mobile and PC, like a little dust.
4. After buying on an exchange, move your Bitcoin to Trezor right away to keep it safe forever.
5. Do not sell your Bitcoin. Wait for the right time, as the Bitcoin guide says.
6. Buy Bitcoin regularly, in good or bad times. Keep some for the DIP, and if you can, mine BTC to help the network. Do not sell in fear, because that is the rule.
7. Avoid altcoins and NFTs, because they are traps that hurt your BTC purchases.
8. Check your address twice when sending, because mistakes can happen.
9. Share Bitcoin’s glory, but do not tell others how much you have, because silence protects you from thieves.
10. HODL is your strong path, not trading. Stay strong when prices change, as the eternal book says.
